QINOpractic Medicine - 'Healing the Body from Within'
QINOpractic Medicine is a combination of Eastern and Chiropractic philosophies and treatment methods primarily from Kinesiology, Osteopathy, Neurology and a variety of Soft Tissue Therapies formulated into an holistic treatment protocol developed in Sweden by Dr Mike Dahlstrom and founder of The European College of QINOpractic Medicine (ECQM). We are Internationally Certified QINOpractic Medicine Practitioners.
QINOpractic Medicine is NOT the same as chiropractic. As QINOpractic Medicine practitioner we do not perform any kind of chiropractic adjustment or manipulation. The paradigm's techniques are based on a softer approach and non-invasive.
QINOpractic Medicine is a complementary and alternative health care profession with the purpose of assessing and treating mechanical and neurological disorders. QINOpractic uses a holistic treatment approach to recognise the body's inherent ability to organise, maintain and heal itself.
The QINOpractic perspective reflects the philosophy and a holistic approach to healthcare and wellbeing. QINOpractic recognises the dynamics of lifestyle, environment, and health. This treatment appreciates the multifactorial nature of structural, chemical, and psychological influences on the nervous system and indeed the whole body.
QINOpractic begins with the basis that emotion, function and structure are wholly interdependent and cannot be evaluated separately. Problems within our skeletal structure, joints and soft tissue cause an imbalance in the overall function of the body. These imbalances in function, disturbances in muscles, connective tissue, circulation, nerve function, inner organs, and glands, to name a few, can lead to changes in muscular balance and overall physiological function. Environmental, postural and structural problems, in turn, can lead to disturbances in nerve function and signal flow, resulting in biochemical changes, dysfunction and pain.
QINOpractic looks at function and cause and not just the symptomatic issues. The goal is to aid the body in the removal of disturbances which affect the nervous system, restore balance and function to the soft tissue, specifically those which control spinal movement, thereby allowing the body to function in a more dynamic fashion.
"The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." - Thomas Edison
